As Innovation Hub Manager, Dr. Francesca Cavezza leads European Aluminium’s efforts in communication and dissemination for the H2AL project. She ensures that key findings, opportunities, and recommendations on hydrogen adoption are effectively shared with stakeholders across the aluminium value chain. This includes organizing events, workshops, and communication activities, fostering collaboration, and aligning the aluminium sector with EU sustainability goals.
European Aluminium also works closely with partners to support stakeholder engagement strategies and facilitate the replication of hydrogen-based technologies across the sector.
Dr. Francesca Cavezza brings extensive expertise in fostering innovation and collaboration within the aluminium value chain. Her specialization includes leading dissemination and outreach campaigns, leveraging deep knowledge of the industry’s challenges and trends, advocating for EU policies that promote decarbonization and sustainable practices, and building strong connections across industry, academia, and government to drive the adoption of transformative technologies such as hydrogen integration.
Francesca's contributions aim to validate hydrogen as a sustainable energy solution for aluminium recycling processes. Through the H2AL project, she seeks to demonstrate the feasibility of hydrogen combustion technologies for real industrial applications, provide robust data and replicable solutions for decarbonizing aluminium production, strengthen Europe’s position as a leader in green industrial practices, and inspire similar initiatives across other hard-to-abate industries, contributing to a more sustainable and resilient European economy.
