Dr. Inma Suárez is responsible for coordinating the activities of the foundry company involved in H2AL. She provides all necessary technical input for simulation models, evaluates how fuel types influence furnace operation, and leads the hydrogen demonstration test in a melting furnace. Her role is essential for translating experimental outcomes into actionable industrial KPIs.
Holding a PhD in Chemistry with a specialization in surface technology for optical devices, Inma brings deep knowledge in surface and analytical chemistry, especially in recycled alloys and HPDC (High Pressure Die Casting) processes. Her interdisciplinary expertise allows her to bridge research and industrial application effectively.
Inma’s work will produce critical data to evaluate the technical feasibility of switching from fossil fuels to hydrogen in metal melting processes. These insights will guide the project in defining performance metrics and validating the reliability and quality of hydrogen-fueled aluminium casting—paving the way for greener metallurgical practices.
